Lock, stock, and...

...well, you know how the rest of it goes.

Remember this post?

I paid off that car today. It's all ours, and it feels good.

I'm re-reading The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey this week, trying to strengthen my resolve to live a different kind of life. It's hard to change your way of looking at the world but I'm doing it now while I have both time and a husband with a good job.

  1. Wow that's impressive! A few years ago car loans were 5 years and now they are 6 years. Its really sad how much money we still owe on our van after 2 years, so good job on paying it off in 2! I just had a mini lesson on Dave Ramsey in Relief society (more like a really long comment that nobody asked for). From what I hear he is awesome.

  2. After paying off the house about 10 years early, we decided we'd try that with all debt. It worked on the next two cars we bought--just paying extra each month brings down the principle amount of the loan.

You're doing a really good job, Amy. I'm very impressed!
