Little Avery has the tiniest fingernails, but still manages to scratch her face. Guess who got the job of trimming those little fingertips today?

You guessed it - me.

I did a great job, if I do say so myself. No accidents and no tears. I am good at this grandmothering job.

Tomorrow we go back to Austin for a check-up with Avery's pediatrician, Dr. Bell, just to make sure she's on track with her weight.
