Our Beautiful Buttercup

Yesterday I had the singular privilege of seeing my unexpected but very much anticipated grandchild on ultrasound. I think this experience has changed my life.

Oh, what a sweet and tender thing it is. Utterly indescribable. I'm truly savoring these moments.

I hope you all have a beautiful and blessed day.

  2. Your baby is having a baby. What a wonderful experience. I'm happy for you, your daughter, and the little buttercup on its way. Enjoy the ride. This time it is as a grandma and totally different and especially wonderful, as I have been told by my mother.

It's amazing how all this stuff works.

Amy, you are not going to believe how cool it is to be a grandmother. Your life is about to begin.

  6. Look at the size of that brain! She looks so smart! And as pretty as her mommy! I love ultrasound!!! Have you seen any of those 4-D ultrasounds? So cool.

  7. Your life will definitely change forever. There is no one quite as wonderful as your grandchildren (as I have repeatedly told you, I'm sure).

It's a great change--unlike many of the changes that go with getting past 40--maybe the best change ever!

I'm hoping for the similar change when my grandbaby has her baby. I love you both.
